The Mental Aspect of the Game of Badminton The Power of Surprise When engaged in a contest, there is nothing more than the Surprising and the Straightforward, yet the Surprising and the Straightforward excel in variations - more than can ever be exhausted. The Surprising and the Straightforward give rise to each other as they rotate and cycle without end. Who can exhaust them? You could apply this to deception in the game of Badminton. If an opponent over-uses deception, it no longer surprises the adversary. Likewise a player who uses mostly Straightforward strokes would find a Surprise stroke exceptionall powerful. |
